Scotland: Place to be in 2018

Edinburh (NITN): From the first V&A museum to be opened outside London to a brand new 90 mile scenic route through the Highlands and a luxury floating hotel in Edinburgh with royal connections, 2018 is going to be a big year for Scotland.

20 YEARS OF Kuch Kuch Hota Hai

Romantic Scotland and the age-old romance of Bollywood are the perfect match. Bollywood film-makers have an enduring love affair with the city. Over 20 Bollywood film-makers have chosen to make Scotland a star in their movies next to Bollywood megastars including former Miss World Aishwarya Rai, Abhishek Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan.
2018 will be the perfect opportunity to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the release of the iconic movie Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, of which the title song was shot in Scotland.

V&A Dundee

Scheduled to open in the second half of 2018, the V&A Museum of Design Dundee will be the only V&A museum anywhere in the world outside London. It will be the first ever dedicated design museum in Scotland: an international centre for design, a place of inspiration, discovery and learning.
Visitors to V&A Dundee will experience the story of design past, present and future in a Scottish and global context, as well as the processes which underpin design and the inventive objects which tell that story.
