Taj Taal Kutir is inviting guests to experience the flavours and traditions of Spain with ‘The Spanish Merienda’, an exclusive high-tea experience at its Lake View Lounge from August 14 to August 23, priced at INR 1,399 plus taxes per person.
Inspired by Spain’s cherished afternoon dining tradition, the limited-period experience brings together authentic Spanish flavours, refined hospitality and the serene lakeside setting that defines the hotel.
Nestled beside the picturesque Eco Park Lake, Lake View Lounge offers an idyllic setting for an afternoon of leisurely indulgence.

The lounge features elegant colonial-inspired interiors and an extensive collection of literary classics by celebrated authors from around the world, creating a timeless atmosphere where gastronomy, culture and conversation come together.
Inspired by the Spanish tradition of Merienda—an unhurried afternoon ritual centred around good food and meaningful conversations—the specially curated high tea features a selection of authentic sweet and savoury delicacies.

Guests can savour signature Spanish creations including Montaditos, Spanish Tortilla, Torrijas and Crema Catalana, each carefully prepared to showcase the vibrant flavours, textures and culinary traditions of Spain.
The selection is complemented by premium teas, creating an elegant and memorable high-tea experience.

Speaking about the offering, Siddharth Jain, General Manager, Taj Taal Kutir, Kolkata, said, “At Taj Taal Kutir, Kolkata, we believe that every dining experience should tell a story and create lasting memories. ‘The Spanish Merienda’ reflects our commitment to bringing authentic global culinary traditions to our guests through thoughtfully curated experiences that combine exceptional cuisine, warm hospitality and the unique charm of our lakeside destination.”
