Kolkata hosting three-day long fish festival

Kolkata, Dec 18 (NITN): To celebrate its golden jubilee, the State Fisheries Development Corporation (SFDC), in association with the National Fisheries Development Board (NFDB), Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and state fisheries department, has organised a three-day long fish festival- 'Bengal Fish Fest Twenty Fifteen’- from Friday.
The event will continue till Sunday at Nalban Food Park in Kolkata's Salt Lake area.
"The fish festival would showcase and promote the fisheries industry with an aim to increase fish productivity in West Bengal and attract more investments in the sector. We have installed a food court here, which will serve various fish dishes including Vietnam sheat fish and basa," one SFDC official told IBNS.
Representatives of several other states' fisheries development boards will also be present in the three-day long event.
