Air Canada has expanded its winter 2026–27 schedule with a range of new leisure destinations, including the only non-stop flights from North America to Tenerife.

The airline has also added Roatán, Santo Domingo, Mérida, and Mazatlán to its network, along with additional non-stop services to popular destinations across the Caribbean and Mexico.

Flights are now available for booking through the airline’s website, while vacation packages can be booked via aircanadavacations.com.

“The addition of Tenerife, in the Canary Islands, reflects our continued ambition to offer our customers and Aeroplan members an exceptional, diversified array of unique Air Canada destinations. Enabled by the next-generation capabilities of our incoming A321XLR aircraft, travellers on the only non-stop service from North America now have convenient options to reach the island renowned for its stunning volcanic scenery, a rich array of bucket-list activities and year-round warm weather,” said Mark Galardo, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, and President of Cargo at Air Canada.

The CEO of Tenerife Tourism, Dimple Melwani, said “The arrival of Air Canada with direct flights from Toronto and Montreal is a strategic boost for Tenerife, consolidating our destination as a global leader and bringing us closer to a high-value traveler for the island.”

What’s new in Air Canada’s A321XLR experience?

The Tenerife service will be operated using the airline’s new Airbus A321XLR aircraft, featuring lie-flat seats in Business Class to deliver a wide-body style experience on a single-aisle jet.

The aircraft will have a total capacity of 182 passengers, including 14 Signature Class seats and 168 seats in Economy.

The introduction of the A321XLR also signals the start of a new cabin design standard for the airline, with updated interiors aimed at enhancing the onboard experience.

With the addition of these routes and aircraft, Air Canada is strengthening its winter sun offering, providing travellers with more options to destinations across Europe, the Caribbean and Mexico.
