The A380 will operate as flights EK512/513 in a four-class configuration, joining the airline's three other daily Delhi services that are already operated by retrofitted four-class Boeing 777 aircraft with Premium Economy.

With the introduction of the A380, Premium Economy will be available on all four daily Emirates flights between Delhi and Dubai. The cabin features cream leather seats with extra legroom and recline, upgraded dining served on chinaware, and a range of additional onboard amenities.

Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer said: “We are pleased to introduce our highly anticipated A380 services to Delhi, a vital gateway in our network, from October. Given the strong demand for travel to and from India, it is an honour to expand our A380 footprint in the country, with Delhi joining Mumbai and Bengaluru as our third A380 destination.”

“We are also making our Premium Economy product more widely available across India to reach six gateways and close to half of our scheduled weekly flights. A host of other service enhancements are in the pipeline as a testament to our partnership with India and commitment to our customers.”

Premium Economy expands across India

From October, Emirates will offer Premium Economy on flights serving six Indian cities—Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata and Kochi.

The rollout will be supported by a mixed fleet comprising the Airbus A380, Airbus A350 and retrofitted four-class Boeing 777 aircraft.

On the Delhi–Dubai route, Premium Economy will be available on the A380-operated EK513 as well as on Boeing 777 flights EK511, EK515 and EK517, giving passengers four cabin classes across all daily services.

Kolkata will also see an upgrade from October 25, when the daily EK570/571 service, currently operated by a Boeing 777, will switch to Emirates' Airbus A350, bringing Premium Economy to the route. Combined with the five-times-weekly EK572/573 service operated by a retrofitted four-class Boeing 777, Premium Economy will be available on all 12 weekly flights between Kolkata and Dubai.

By the end of October, Emirates will offer Premium Economy on four daily flights from Delhi, 12 weekly flights from Kolkata, 22 weekly flights from Mumbai, nine weekly flights from Ahmedabad, seven weekly flights from Bengaluru and two weekly flights from Kochi.

Customer services on the ground and in the air

Alongside the fleet upgrades, Emirates is expanding its customer services in India. The airline has recently opened retail travel stores in Delhi and Mumbai, where customers can receive personalised assistance and explore its products and services. Similar stores are planned for Hyderabad and Bengaluru, while a dedicated call centre will also open in Mumbai.

On board, Emirates will continue offering regionally inspired menus on flights from all nine Indian gateways, with dishes created to reflect the diversity of Indian cuisine while catering to different dietary preferences. Cabin crew on Indian routes speak Hindi along with several regional languages, and the airline's inflight entertainment system offers more than 6,500 channels, including Bollywood films in Hindi and content in Tamil, Malayalam, Gujarati, Kannada and other languages.
