The Winter Carnival opens up for kids on 19th December and will continue till the 15th of January.
The fest is directed towards children, within 3 yrs – 10 yrs of age. STORY aims to gift a fun-filled and interactive winter to the kids. They can make the most out of winter breaks by getting involved in various activities and workshops organized by Story.
STORY celebrates the Winter Carnival every year. The fest will be conducted over several segments with events appropriately designed for different age-groups.
On December 19, 20 and 21, there will be workshops on Quilling cards making, Christmas story telling and Talcum powder paper designing for kids who are 3 years and onwards in age.
With Christmas just around the corner, Christmas Craft Workshops will be conducted on December 22, 23 and 24; and there will be a recital of Christmas Carols on 25th December
Magic Bowl, Magic Show and Fundoh Demo Activities will take place on 26, 27 and 28 December respectively. Apart from workshops, there will be interesting competitions for the kids to take part in. On 29, 30 and 31st December, there will be several competitions for the kids like Rummikub competition, Drawing competition and Colouring competition.
The new year will hold in store another set of fun-filled events. On December 1, 2 and 3 there will workshops on Pottery making, Coaster designing and Toothbrush stand making respectively. The month long winter-fest will end on 10th January with a Puzzle Game.
The event is being organized in three of STORY’s stores in and around Kolkata – Elgin Road, Diamond Plaza Mall, Nager Bazar and Junction Mall, Durgapur.
The walls of STORY have been adorned with literary pieces specially picked out for children of various age groups. Every Sunday, STORY organizes the ‘Story-teller’s’ club meet, where various activities are planned for the kids to have fun while they learn, at its flagship store at Elgin road.
There are a total of four STORY outlets in West Bengal. They are in Elgin Road; Diamond Plaza Mall, Nager Bazar; Avani River Side Mall, Howrah and Junction Mall, Durgapur.
The flagship bookstore of STORY, was launched in 15th April, 2014 in Kolkata. It claims to be eastern India’s largest standalone bookstore covering an area of 15000 sq feet.
STORY also helps students of Future Hope, an NGO in Kolkata that provides home and school for street children, by training them at various stores during summer internships. It also raises funds and donates books, gifts and toys to various charity organisations.
‘Share a Story’ initiative collected 10,000 books and handed it over to Future Hope and Mukti Rehabilitation Centre. Story contributes books for the annual Carnival and Jumble Sale at IICP (the Indian Institute of Cerebral Palsy).
Eventually a pilgrimage for all book-lovers STORY has a massive collection of books of all genres and a dedicated floor for children.

The art street section offers art material and accessories, gift it! section has bountiful of special gift items, greetings section boasts of a wide range of all reasons greeting cards whereas the paper shop and stationery section has a comprehensive range of house paper and stationery materials of different kinds.
