New Delhi, Jan 10: Sanskriti University, which has a campus spread over 40 acres in Mathura near Delhi, has signed an MOU with Indian Council of Agricultural Research –National Bureau of Plant Genetic Resources(ICAR-NBPGR) to further the cause of academic excellence and research.
The students of School of Agriculture will now be able to pursue their internship at National Bureau of Plant Genetic Resources (NBPGR) which is affiliated institute of Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).This will further the cause of research at Sanskriti University and ICAR-NBPGR.
This MOU will facilitate the students of B.Tech/B.Sc./M.Sc./BAMSto pursue their internship program in world class infrastructure of ICAR-NBPGR under the joint and/or collaborative guidance of Scientists / Experts / Academicians from NBPGR and School of Agriculture and other schools of Sanskriti University.
"The Internship at ICAR-NBPGR will provide a catalytic boost to the knowledge, skills and competencies of the students pursuing various relevant programmes and also to the faculty members teaching the students in various programmes. The MOU shall pave the way for some path breaking collaborative research papers," an official statement claimed.
Chancellor Sachin Gupta expressed his delight after the signature of the MOU and said that Sanskriti University will be committed to set new benchmarks of excellence in the domain of agricultural research.
He said that the students will now be able to pursue focused research under the guidance of world class Scientists / Scholars and Academicians at ICAR-NBPGR which will enhance their employability to make them globally employable at competitive salaries.
Pro-Chancellor Rajesh Gupta congratulated the senior management of Sanskriti University and said that the spirit of research should be carried on by all the internal and external stakeholders of the University.
He said that cutting edge research by students and faculty members is going to be biggest differentiators between the leading universities and rest of the institutions of higher learning.
OSD Meenakshi Sharma said that the students of school of agriculture and other schools will get world class exposure in a world class environment under the guidance of leading academicians and scientists.
"This will make them thoroughly prepared to take up the real life challenges of the work place in the domain of agriculture right from the day one. The students will be preparing well-structured dissertation and thesis and the same shall be submitted to Sanskriti University as well as to ICAR-NBPGR," Sharma added.
