Reading a book is like having a conversation with the author and learning from their experience., says Dr. Vijeta Pareek Sahay while talking about the book she co-authored with CA Nitish Sahay Pandey.
Congratulations on the release of 'The Secret Sauce'. What is the feedback from your friends and readers who have already read your book?
Thanks so much. All our friends, relatives and colleagues are super excited and eagerly awaiting for the book. Some think it's a great milestone and others are happy that they have an author couple in their friend list. It's just been released and already orders are coming in not only from India but also from the US and Europe. We are anxiously waiting for the firsthand feedback on the fruit of our labour.
What kind of books inspire you as a writer? Who are your favorite authors and poets?
We always have been awestruck with the breadth and depth of Indian Hindu religious and spiritual writings. We have a collection of all Vedas, Upanishads and Purana apart form Shrimadbhagwad Geeta and Ramayana and Mahabharata. Of all the books, Shrimadbhagwad Geeta has been most inspirational to us. We also are big followers of several self help books and we read practically everything. Reading a book is like having a conversation with the author and learning from their experience.
Why did you want to become a writer? Who inspired you to become a writer? What triggered you to come into writing?
Nitish had always been a bookworm and I have been adopting this habit as well. We have lots and lots of experience to share and most of our friends and colleagues have requested us to pen down our experience and knowledge for the benefit of like minded readers. Nitish had been writing articles for professional magazines and has won awards for best technical papers. I have always been inclined to share the spritual and life learning's with people around. When the opportunity presented itself to write a book on self help, we could not stop ourselves from saying yes. I think it was destined for us to share our experience for the benefit of the world at large and that was the trigger for taking up writing and become authors.
What are you doing to let readers know about your book?
It is mostly word to mouth publicity that we are relying on. We have posted the teasers, video trailer of the book, book review link and the links to order our book on social media sites - Facebook, Marketplace, Instagram, Tweeter, Linkedin, Whatapp groups, etc.
Tell us something about your book. Some highlights.
