Kolkata : The ‘first-ever’ IPL-style Bengal Pro T20 League incepted by The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) and exclusively managed by Arivaa Sports featuring both men's and women's teams will be held from June 11 to June 28, creating a landmark in the history of state-run T20 Franchise leagues in Indian Cricket.
CAB President Snehasish Ganguly said, “The inaugural day will only feature 1 men’s match in the evening slot. The women’s league shall start the next day with double headers each day and end on the same day of the men’s, that is on 28th of June, just a day before the ICC T20 World.”
While the men’s matches shall commence from June 11 at the Eden Gardens, the women’s matches will start from June 12 at the Jadavpur University, Salt Lake Campus Ground.
The exact schedule of the League will be released closer to the dates.
Most of the days there will be double headers with each team playing against each other once, according to reports.
The CAB President added, “As per the BCCI guidelines the League cannot be held from September 15 to end of February each year, beyond which the WPL and IPL takes place, leaving the CAB left with no option but to host Bengal Pro T20 in June.”
The cricket fanatics of Bengal thus can get ready to meet at the Eden Gardens for an epic season of the Bengal Pro T20 League and witness a barrage of huge sixes, sensational wickets and breathtaking catches raising the temperature of this Cricket frenzy State of India.
Bengal ProT20 League aims to foster a thriving cricket community towards excellence, inclusivity, and the relentless pursuit of sporting glory.
Bengal Pro T20 League is committed to celebrating the passion and excitement of cricket with eight Franchise teams of both men and women playing 31 matches each over a period of 18 days.
