The Bengal Pro T20 League gets two more franchises on board, confirming six teams for the tournament.
Sona Biscuits Ltd, owners of the famous Sobisco and GD Sports Ventures of the Gee Dee Mining fame have been awarded the rights by The Cricket Association of Bengal.
With these six out of the eight franchises have been confirmed.
Snehasish Ganguly, President of the Cricket Association of Bengal said, “We added Sobisco and Gee Dee Mining to our illustrious list of Franchise Owners. I am certain they will bring a lot of value to the League and reinforce our commitment towards betterment of Bengal Cricket. We look forward to having them with us in the Bengal Pro T20 League.” He added, “We shall soon announce the final two Franchise owners, completing the total of eight Franchises.”
Bengal Pro T20 League organized by the Cricket Association of Bengal and exclusively managed by Arivaa Sports, will take place from 11th to 28th June 2024. Each Franchise will field both men’s and women’s teams. While all men’s matches shall take place at the historic Eden Gardens, women’s matches will be played at the Jadavpur University, Salt Lake Campus Ground.
