Pandit Tarun Bhattacharya, a Shatatantri Veena (Santoor) legend, has consistently championed the promotion of young musicians.

In an era rife with distractions, where the new generation often drifts away from their cultural roots, Maestro Bhattacharya has tirelessly worked to instil the essence of Indian Classical Music in his students.

Devoting his time and energy to teaching and grooming a cadre of musicians, he aims to ensure the legacy of Hindustani Classical Music endures.

Among his students, one of the most distinguished is Ahilan Hatti. Born and raised in the US to Indian parents who are prominent in their fields, Ahilan has made significant strides under the tutelage of Pandit Bhattacharya.

He has performed at the Festival of Tabla in the US and has been featured on the MyGov India Portal by the Government of India. Ahilan himself acknowledges that learning the Santoor has helped him become a better person, steering him away from the negative influences that often ensnare teenagers.

In a significant milestone, Ahilan will perform in a series of concerts in Kolkata and Mysuru on July 4 and 13, 2024.

This event will highlight the vision of his guru, Pandit Tarun Bhattacharya, who believes in spreading Indian Classical Music to foster a better future and a more harmonious world.
