Award-winning author and visual storyteller Soma Bose unveiled the cover design of her much-anticipated third book, Garden of White Roses, at a city café in the presence of her team members and publisher.
Known for her evocative storytelling and deep exploration of human emotions, Soma’s latest work is a delicate epistolary novel that interlaces letters, memories, and the passage of time.
Soma Bose also had the privilege of presenting her first two books to the Governor of West Bengal, Dr. CV Ananda Bose. Dr Bose, himself an author of repute, greatly appreciated Soma’s pursuit of literary excellence and gave his good wishes for her future creations.
Following the success of her previous books, Frenny and Other Women You Have Met and I've Had Enough of You, this epistolary novel unfolds through heartfelt letters exchanged between a granddaughter and her grandfather. It evokes nostalgia while exploring profound themes of love, loss, companionship, and shifting relationships.
Bose once again delivers a compelling narrative that delves into themes of love, loss, companionship, and the intricate evolution of relationships. Soma’s second book, “I’ve Had Enough of You”, was officially announced at Crossword Mumbai in November 2024 in the presence of Swastika Mukherjee, Srijit Mukherjee, Suchitra Pillai, and Joy Sengupta. This novelette explores life-altering moments when individuals, especially women, reach their breaking points. Each story intricately captures the raw emotions of protagonists navigating challenges that redefine their existence.
Recognized for her impactful storytelling, Soma was honored with the Emerging Writer of the Year in Fiction award by Ukiyoto Publication House at the Kolkata Literary Carnival. She was also invited to the prestigious Tata Steel Kolkata Literary Meet 2024 for a session titled “Like A Prayer”, where she explored themes of home, faith, and the nuanced lives of women. Additionally, she received the Shakti Samman Award for Best Author – Fiction from Rotary International.
