Prof. Saikat Maitra, Vice Chancellor, MAKAUT inaugurating the Centre in presence of Atri Bhowmik, Finance Officer and the dignitaries of the MAKAUT affiliated institutes of the district of Nadia and 24 pgs – North.
The Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAUKAT) is setting up six nodal centres across the state, to facilitate Training, Placement services. The Centres are located:
A). MAKAUT, premises in Salt Lake
B). JIS, College of Engineering premises in Kalyani
C). Dr. B. C. Roy College premises in Durgapur
D). SIT college premises in Siliguri
E). Supreme college premises in Chandannagar
F). Seacom College premises in Howrah.
These will be the liaison office of the University for the Above Mentioned Activities along with organizing remedial Coaching Classes for SC, ST, Minority and OBC (Non creamy layer) category students of the affiliated colleges.
Saikat Mitra, Vice Chancellor, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (formally known as WBUT) said, “We will give importance on development of innovation and excellence. As a result , the student will not only be benefitted not only in employability, but also in the business sector. A student will teach through nodal training, he or she can gain idea of business development and student can help another person to grow up in the business sector.”
Sila Singh Ghosh, Vice President, Corporate Relations, JIS Group, said, “On behalf of JIS Group, we are really thankful and honoured that JISCE has been selected as the nodal centre. We will contribute in the area of modern teacher learning system, accredition training. Through nodal training and placement, the student future will be bright in the education sector.”
Bani Kumar Roy, Zila Sabhadhipati of the Nadia district was also present to grace the occasion.
