“Haven’t watched the film yet”, actor Soumitra Chatterjee at launch of Open Tee Bioscope DVD in Kolkata

Kolkata, Oct 1 (NITN) Veteran Tollywood actor, Soumitra Chatterjee said he is yet to watch Open Tee Bioscope, singer turned movie-maker Anindya Chatterjee’s debut film, while launching the film’s DVD in popular lifestyle store Starmark’s South City Mall outlet, in Kolkata on Wednesday.
“I haven’t watched the film yet,” Soumitra revealed, “Anindya and Riddhi (Sen, who played the lead in the movie) have been telling me to watch it for a long time now,” theDadasaheb Phalke awardee added.
Also present were the cast and crew of the film, including producer Shoojit Sircar and director Anindya Chatterjee.
Sircar said, “I’m proud of this film. For me it’s a landmark film. I want to thank Anindya and his entire team.”
Anindya Chatterjee said Open Tee Bioscope was the best thing for him, “It was like a picnic for us,” the director said.
The other cast members too shared their fond memories.
Open Tee Bioscope, a movie which released in January, earlier this year, struck a chord with the audience and went on to become a big hit. It garnered a lot of praise from critics and audience alike and was hailed as one of the best Bengali movie of the year 2015 along with Bela Seshe, another Bengali movie starring Soumitra Chatterjee.
The DVD is priced at Rs 399 and is available at all Starmark outlets.
