Islamabad/IBNS: Amidst a surge in omicron cases, Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) announced that a new travel advisory will function from Jan. 5 under the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC).
PCAA has made it compulsory for travellers to have a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test done 48 hrs before boarding a flight to Pakistan.
Passengers who are six-years-old or above are also required to present a negative PCR test, PCAA said.
The south Asian nation has also made it mandatory for 15-year-old travellers entering its borders to be vaccinated.
Under the PCAA guidelines, passengers onboard from Europe will be required to undergo a 100 percent rapid antigen testing (RAT), while travellers from Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Qatar will need a minimum 50 percent RAT.
