Jakarta: Indonesia reopened the islands of Bintan and Batam to travellers arriving from Singapore to boost its pandemic hit tourism sector.

According to government officials, entirely inoculated travellers from the city-state can visit the islands.

The travellers will also need to undergo necessary tests and have insurance coverage, as per authorities.
