A tourist has alleged that Georgian authorities subjected 56 Indian travellers, who were having valid e-visas and documents, to the most' inhuman behaviour' when they attempted to enter the country via Armenia.

In her Instagram post, Dhruvee Patel wrote the group faced humiliation at the Sadakhlo border.

She claimed the group was forced to wait at the border for more than five hours in the cold.

She alleged that Georgian officials 'confiscated' their passports for over two hours without any 'communication'.

She said they were 'forced to sit on the footpath like cattle'.

She said the authorities took their videos like 'criminals' but prevented them from filming the ordeal.

She said the officials did not check any documents they were carrying, but simply said their 'visas' were wrong.

Criticising Georgia for their treatment, Dhruvee Patel further wrote: " This is how Georgia treats Indians. Shameful & unacceptable!"

She tagged Indian PM Narendra Modi, the Ministry of External Affairs and S Jaishankar and said India must take a strong stand.
