Emirates has recently opened its dedicated Travel Store in Otemachi, Tokyo, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by the airline’s senior executives, guests and members of the media.
Those present included His Excellency Shihab Ahmed Al Faheem, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to Japan; Orhan Abbas, Emirates’ Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations, Far East; Satish Sethi, Emirates’ Country Manager for Japan; and Tetsuya Mori, Director, International Air Transport Division, Japan Civil Aviation Bureau. Representatives from Tokyo’s travel and trade industry and local media also attended the event.
The Tokyo outlet follows the opening of the Emirates Travel Store in Osaka in July 2025, extending the airline’s retail presence in Japan. Situated in Otemachi, a major business and commercial district, the new store serves customers in the greater Tokyo area. Multilingual travel experts are available to assist Japanese and international customers with flight bookings, travel information and personalised itineraries.
The store’s interior features beige lounge chairs and contemporary furnishings, creating a relaxed setting for customers meeting Emirates travel consultants. Facilities include a self-service kiosk, a queue management system for personalised assistance and a selfie mirror featuring backgrounds of popular destinations served by Emirates. A Boeing 777 Business Class seat is also on display.
The Emirates Travel Store Tokyo is located on the first floor of Otemachi One, at 1-2-1 Otemachi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo. It is open from 11 am to 7 pm, Monday to Friday, and remains closed on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
Emirates expands its presence in Japan
Japan remains a key market for Emirates as the airline continues to develop connections between the country and destinations worldwide. It currently operates direct flights between Dubai and Narita International Airport, Tokyo International Airport (Haneda) and Kansai International Airport in Osaka.
From 26 October 2026, Emirates is scheduled to increase its services to Narita, taking its total passenger operations to and from Japan to 28 flights per week. The additional service will be operated by a Boeing 777-300ER, offering more than 300 passenger seats in each direction and an additional 20 tonnes of daily cargo capacity.
The increase is intended to meet growing demand for travel to Japan and provide passengers departing from the country with more options and flexibility when planning their journeys.
