India is seen as a growing market from India with many connecting flights in operation, MMPRC’s new marketing plans for 2015 include participation in fairs and roadshows with the industry participants, targeted at attracting high spending tourists from the Indian market.
A roadshow is slated to take place in Bangalore on 23 February, in Mumbai on 24 February, in Kolkata on 25th February and in New Delhi on 27 February.
Maldivian Air has expressed keen interest in promoting Maldives to the currently growing market of India in general and in the South in particular.
Maldivian and MMPRC (Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation), are planning an event to be held in Chennai, to expand the promotion in this growing market.
Chennai is an affluent market with great potential of growth in terms of outbound travel to Maldives in addition to the easy connecting flights making Maldives a desirable destination for both family holidays, couple getaways and also for honeymoons.
