Canada's biggest Winter Festival of Lights to kick off on Nov 21
Ontario, Sept 26 (NITN): The 33rd season of the 'Ontario Power Generation Winter Festival of Lights' will kick off on Nov 21, 2015, with Opening Ceremonies in Queen Victoria Park.

Always an exciting event, the opening ceremonies of the festival are evenings of family friendly entertainment. 
 
This year, Winter Festival of Lights will feature new and innovative lighting for the upcoming season. 
 
The new enhancements will include laser light shows and 3D projection .
 
The festival of lights turns Niagara Falls into a winter wonderland. 
 
"During the visit, gaze at millions of sparkling lights along a 5km route, enjoy Niagara Falls ice skating at the TD RINK at the brink, be a part of grand holiday displays throughout the city, and groove to the beats at unique Niagara Falls events like the Christmas Concert Series. Get overwhelmed by the most enchanted Niagara attractions, which have become a family tradition for over a million locals and visitors from around the world," an official statement claimed. 
 
The free festival features millions of dazzling lights throughout Queen Victoria Park, Dufferin Islands, the Niagara Parkway, and adjacent tourist areas. 
 
In 2015, one can catch weekly shows from Zero Gravity Circus in front of Queen Victoria Place. Aerial artistry, high-flying precision and fire mastery will also be some of the attractions. 
 
Getting to the roots of it, the Winter Festival of Lights was founded in 1983. In the early years, on the starting of the festival, it attracted huge number of visitors. Today, the festival receives 1.5 million attendees and over 750 motor coaches each year as Niagara Falls continues its evolution into a year-round tourism destination.
