Kolkata, Jun 8 : Continuing the scheduled activities with travel trade, Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board (MPTB) participated in one of the renowned Tourism fairs of West Bengal - “Bengal Tourism Fest”, held at Khudiram Anusilan Kendra, here.
The fest began on Jun 7 and will end on 9th of the same month.
The objective is to strengthen the relationship between Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal and promote Madhya Pradesh as a world-class destination for Wildlife, Nature, Heritage, Pilgrimage, Adventure & MICE. With such participations, the board aims to meet, network and share expertise with professionals who want to learn about various products and add more to the increasing footfall.
On the occasion, senior officials of the Madhya Pradesh Tourism said, “We focus to spread awareness and highlight various aspects of growth that took place in the past years. The Government of Madhya Pradesh has initiated a number of measures to position the state as the leading tourism state globally. Indian tourism trade fairs are evaluated as an important annual opportunity for B2B meetings and creating a great network among the buyers and sellers in Tourism Industry.”
The officials of the Madhya Pradesh tourism also said Bengalis are fond of travelling and we believe that with the strengthening of bond of the two states the tourism industry will flourish in both Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal sharing a mutual cross cultural heritage.
Madhya Pradesh Tourism aims to provide knowledge among the buyers and operators on the latest offerings for example Experiential tourism, Rural tourism, Comping & Adventure Tourism and other activities along with increasing awareness about the vast travel opportunities available in Madhya Pradesh.
Highlighting the major exhibition participations of the coming months, Madhya Pradesh Tourism will be exhibiting in the ABP Tourist spot- Kolkata, TTF- Hyderabad, TTF- Kolkata, Tourism Fair- Ahmedabad and many others. Besides, the exciting calendar for visitors to Madhya Pradesh kick starts with “Monsoon Marathon”, “Go Heritage Run”, “Cycle Safari”, “Madhya Pradesh Travel Mart (MPTM)” and “Adventure Activities at River Narmada” which are very popular amongst the trade people and tourists from various regions of the country.

Malaysia Airlines will expand its South India network by adding more flights on the Kuala Lumpur–Trivandrum route to meet rising demand, the airline said. From September 12, the carrier will operate five weekly services, with daily flights to start from December 1.
