On how travel helps create a closer bond, Taapsee says, "If the last year has taught us anything, it is to keep our loved ones close and cherish every moment with them. My sister Shagun has been my biggest cheerleader and constant support system all my life. The two of us love travelling and planned a trip to Russia for a much-needed break.
"We spent most of the time at our gorgeous and comfortable Airbnb homes in Moscow and St Petersburg, explored the neighbourhood and tried out local cuisine. Our Airbnb Hosts shared some of the best recommendations in each city, which made our experience even better. The last few days have proven to be an ideal getaway for both of us and we’re grateful that we got the opportunity to spend some quality time together."
The duo’s first stop was the historical district of Kremlin in Moscow where they stayed at the stunning Airbnb Solyanka Loft. The stay is in an ideal location, close to most cafes, shops, as well as museums, galleries and theatres.
Even the famous Catholic cathedral is just 10 minutes away, along with old monasteries and churches. The Loft, which was built in 1914, on the site of the royal salt yard, itselfreminisces of the history, style, and spirit of the city.

The duo made sure to soak in local culture through their visits to several iconic sites in the city including the Red Square, Victory Park and the Central Pavillion. The sisters spent some time up in the clouds in a hot air balloon getting a birds’ eye view of the city. They also enjoyed an evening at the Bolshoi Theatre watching classical ballet performances.
Having thoroughly enjoyed the Kremlin, the sisters moved to the city of St. Petersburg where they stayed at the Airbnb Unique Loft. This Airbnb stay has witnessed the history of the city, and its magnificent architecture provides a beautiful timeline to its story.
The two-floor apartment is made of natural materials, and some of the decorative elements have been retained from the original owners, dating as far back to the 19th century. It is also just a few blocks away from Nevsky Prospect, Kazansky Sobor, Russian, and Hermitage museums.

In St. Petersburg, the duo spent time exploring all that the city has to offer. Over the weekend they toured the Hermitage Museum, the second largest museum in the world, and shared some great pictures on the ‘gram.
From exploring local landmarks and heritage sites to indulging in decadent foods and flavours of Russia, the Pannu sisters’ getaway is truly #VacayGoals.
