Kolkata/NITN: With the weather turning mellow, it's time to pay a visit to the LMNO_Q, the newest sky bar in Kolkata in the heart of the city.
Spread across 8,000 sq ft plus, the 150 seater space, including outdoor and indoor, offers a panoramic view of the city’s skyline.
The name LMNO_Q is derived from the musical notes of `The Alphabet Song’ where “P” has been playfully removed and “Q” has been introduced, the company said in a release.
The introduction of Q is what connotes and comes together as the concept and vibe of this unique outlet - the ceiling of this upscale sky bar has an installation of hundreds of birds, which signifies a continuous flight of ecstasy.
Curated by Masterchef Shaikh Arif Ahmed and consultant Chef Amit Puri, LMNO_Q offers a global cuisine with a variety of options for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians.
Some signature offerings include, ‘Wheaty Smoodles’, ‘Queen’s Supper’, ‘Kishtwar Zafraan Murgh Shorba’ from the soup and salads section.
The wide range of appetizers on offer are, ‘Classic Bruschetta’, ‘Crunchy buffalo chicken with fresh salad, hummus filled in soft shell taco’, ‘Hong Kong Lotus Stem’, ‘Mazedaar Mushroom’, ‘Drunken Fish’, ‘Hong Kong Wok Fried Prawn’, ‘Chic Chic Chipotle’, ‘Rajasthani Murgh Parche’, ‘Fiesta Pollo Taco’, ‘Charminar Shikampuri Kebab’ and ‘Alejandro’s Garlic Prawns’.
For mains one can savour the, ‘N.R.I Saag Paneer’ ‘Kumbh Keshar e Pukhtaan’,‘Vegetable Green Thai Curry’,‘Delhi 6 Murgh Makhani’, ‘Bewadi Murghi’ ‘Kerala Mutton Pepper Fry’ and ‘Braised Chicken and Shitake’ amongst several others.
Desserts include ‘Tiramisu Our Style’ ‘Brazilian Kiss’ and ‘Gul- E- Jehaan’ to mark a blissful ending.
With highly acclaimed Shatbhi Basu as the consultant mixologist, patrons can expect nothing but the best.
On offer are signatures such as ‘Rose and Berry Bramble’, ‘Hello Tokyo’, ‘Smoked Apricot Old Fashioned’, ‘Thai Tickle’, and ‘Spiked Ananas’ to name a few.
For the teetotalers, there are beverages like ‘Strawberry Dawn’, ‘Passion Dance’, ‘Date and walnut Yoghurt Smoothie’, and ‘Coffee and Peanut Fudge Shake’ and others.
There is an in-house DJ who spins foot tapping music to create a perfect blend of a party ambience as well as an unwinding spot with your loved ones.
