Jet Airways launches new booking feature FareLock
30 Jan 2016, 07:12 am

Mumbai, Jan 29 (NITN): Jet Airways, India's premier international airline, on Friday introduced a new booking feature FareLock, allowing guests the flexibility to retain a selected fare for a limited period before confirming the purchase at a later date.
"Jet Airways is the first airline in India to launch this innovative feature," a company statement said.
FareLock is applicable for flights across the Jet Airways’ network and offers guests the opportunity to plan their travel with greater ease and convenience.
FareLock is available on the airline’s online platforms, its website jetairways.com, the mobile site and the mobile app.
Once a guest selects the FareLock option, they will need to pay a nominal fee of Rs. 350 for a domestic ticket and Rs. 700 for an international ticket to lock the available fare.
Guests can return to any of the Jet Airways online platforms within the next 72 hours to purchase the tickets and confirm their booking at the pre-selected fare by using the Manage Booking feature.
Gaurang Shetty, Vice President – Commercial, Jet Airways, said: “The launch of FareLock demonstrates Jet Airways’ continued commitment to the ‘Guest First’ philosophy. This unique feature allows guests to have greater flexibility in planning their travel while locking fares in advance of the actual purchase. It will transform the way guests book tickets using our online platforms. With the introduction of FareLock, Jet Airways has yet again raised the industry benchmark for customer experience.”
