Largest Generator 'poshtel' to open in Paris in Feb
27 Jan 2015, 02:40 pm
Paris, Jan 26 (NITN): A 950-bed hostel is set to open its doors in one of the trendiest neighborhoods of Paris, by a global brand that's helped breed a new kind of low-budget student hostel: the 'poshtel.'
Located in the 10th arrondissement by the Canal Saint-Martin and Buttes-Chaumont park in the east, the newest Generator Hostel will be the company’s biggest property to date.
Generator does away with the prison cell bunk beds and dirty showers of yore, and instead bills itself as an urban design and style-conscious hostel.
Generator Paris will open in what was once a derelict, office building and will include a range of en-suite dorms, private rooms and luxury penthouse apartments. Shared public spaces include a café, lounge, and basement bar.
The location should also appeal to the hostel’s target demographic, as the 10th arrondissement is popular among the city’s young, trendy, creative types for its density of cafés, galleries, bars, and hot dining addresses.
Gare du Nord, the Eurostar train station that shuttles travelers between London and Paris.
Reservations for the Paris location are now open for stays beginning February 1.
Prices start at €25 per person in a dorm room and from €49 per person in a private twin room.
