Introspection about various emotions is a key element of the poetry collection says the author
Congratulations on the release of 'The Midnight Sun'. What is the feedback from your friends and readers who have already read your book.
My friends have been extremely encouraging. Good poems. Lucid and enjoyable - these were some of the feedback.
What kind of books inspire you as a writer? Who are your favorite authors?
Fiction/non fiction with geo-historic backdrop. Anything that portrays the socio - economic background of the area. My personal favorites are Rabindranath Tagore, Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay, Bibhuti Bhushan, Sidney Sheldon etc.
Why did you want to become a writer? Who inspired you to become a writer? What triggered you to come into writing?
Everyone in this world wants to express oneself in one way or other. I want to express myself through writing. I am a self inspired writer.
What are you doing to let readers know about your book?
I am trying to establish a one-on-one personal contact with them and would ask them to share their feedback through social media.
Say something about your book. Some highlights.
It is basically a nomadic soldier's feeling about life, nature, separation from family & children, self-introspection. I won't reveal much here. I am really looking forward to my readers to find out for themselves.
Say something about yourself and your background.
I am a soldier turned writer. As a soldier, I undertook extensive travel through the length and breadth of the country and abroad. Love meeting with people and I did. Tried to understand the local problems apart from enjoying the beauty of Nature.Through my writing I tried/ try to portray all those I have witnessed/witness, blending a human feeling.
However a brief of my bio note/background has been given in the book The Midnight Sun.
Do you plan to take it up as a full time profession if response is good?
Yes
