Readers have found the plot of this thriller quite intriguing said the author
Congratulations on the release of 'The Unknown'. What is the feedback from your friends and readers who have already read your book?
Thank You, this is indeed the most exciting time of my life.
Most of the friends who have read this, said that they didn't see the end coming and found the mystery and plot quite intriguing. While trying their best to keep pace with the story, they were left wanting for more at the end.
What kind of books inspire you as a writer? Who are your favorite authors?
The inspiration behind the book comes not only from books, but from movies, TV shows and newspapers as well. I took my inspiration from authors like Agatha Christie, David Baldacci, Ruskin Bond and Satyajit Ray who truly mastered the skill of writing thriller stories.
Why did you want to become a writer? Who inspired you to become a writer? What triggered you to come into writing?
I have been writing short stories since my early childhood and have really enjoyed the experience of connecting with the audience on such a different level. As a child, I have always been excited about solving difficult puzzles and finding patterns around me. Moreover, the atmosphere at home encouraged reading on diverse subjects. I guess all of this must have helped me to become a bit more creative and play with the imagination of the readers by writing short mystery stories.
What are you doing to let readers know about your book?
I have already started sharing about the book with near and dear ones and I hope to get some benefit from positive word of mouth publicity. I intend to use social media to further spread the message about the book. My publishers are supporting the sale of this book on e-commerce portals such as Amazon.in and a few offline stores as well.
Say something about your book. Some highlights.
Firstly, it is a story of a young man battling his biggest fear- the fear of the unknown. His journey passes through realms of greed, betrayal, love and non-stop action. His mission is to unravel a mystery that had been haunting him for seventeen years and track down the forces behind his parents’ deaths.
Say something about yourself and your background.
I am 16 years old, studying at Pathways World School, Aravali, and living in Gurgaon.
I love to read a lot, watch a lot of movies and also play a lot of cricket. I am an active member in the student council at my school and am very passionate about working for social causes in the community. Learning French language for the past few years has been an interesting journey for me. I am also comfortable in languages like Hindi, English and Marathi. My other interests are learning to play the Saxophone, study drama and taking part in the theater whenever I get the opportunity. In my free time, I love to experiment with various recipes in the kitchen and not all of them necessarily have a happy ending.
Do you plan to take it up as a full time profession if response is good?
More than the response to the book, my need to write is to just express myself. And as long as that urge in me remains strong, I will surely continue to write.
