Cable TV show attracts vendors from different places
Kolkata, Jan 6 (NITN): A three-day Cable TV show, billed as one of the largest satellite and cable television events of India, got underway in Kolkata's Netaji Indoor Stadium on Tuesday, with more than 70 participants making it the biggest affair in terms of participation so far.

The show is organised by Cable TV Equipments Traders & Manufacturers Association (CTMA) and was inaugurated by West Bengal Housing & Youth Affairs Minister Aroop Biswas.

"The number of participants and dealers are increasing every year due to the DIGITAL INDIA initiative  taken up nationally. There is a huge demand for the slots and the show has already been booked up. The total number of participants this year has crossed over 70 which is the highest figure of all time,” said Pawan Jajodia, Chairman Exhibition, CTMA.

CABLE TV SHOW 2016 is the 19th Annual Show organized by CTMA  and the event is sponsored by NXT DIGITAL, a Hinduja Group company.

There were varieties of participants starting from Cable Operators, Traders, Manufactures, Entrepreneurs, Broadcasters and Channel Partners across India and abroad.

Some big names such as Alliance Broadband Services, SITI Cable Networks, GTPL Cables & Broadband, Manthan Digitals were also participating in the SHOW.

These companies have already made their stronghold in Kolkata and rest of Bengal. This show is a very useful platform for small companies to challenge the  well established firms and learn from them to do better.

DIGITAL INDIA is the mantra which is highly dependent on the success of digitalization of the cable TV sector that will also bring development in the distribution of broadband services and thereby both cable TV services and Broadband can be carried via the same medium, said the organisers.

Developed Broadband Services will encourage Indian gamers to participate in e-sports events such as DOTA 2, Counter Strike: Global Offensive, League of Legends.

As these events offer huge prize pool, it naturally attracts gamers from all over the world. But Indians are nowhere to be seen in these events because of lack of internet stability and infrastructure.
