The title of the book, 'How not to become a Surgeon'. seems hilarious but the content is much deeper, somewhat serious yet engaging amalgamated with emotions and life lessons since.
The book talks about real friendships, love and life.
Author Dr Debojyoti Sarkar will take you through a bunch of events, emotions, memories and much more.
The book commences on a lighter note, yet ends with highly emotional incidents which the readers must find out in order to feel the true essence of the story.
The book has 22 chapters, and each has been given a short yet unique and meaningful name to take the readers through a journey, which they are bound to remember for a long period of time.
Life is never a smooth journey, it exposes us to multiple challenges and while we overcome some challenges, we succumb to others.
The story revolves around three Medical students and friends, DJ, Debu and Gora and an unfortunate victim of blood cancer who struggles heroically till the end only to find the ultimate freedom.
The central figure which holds these friends together in Medical college is Hind Mahal’s biryani, a delicacy that tied them through its aroma, taste and goodness.
The lucidity of language will also attract the readers, and some can also connect with it to a large extent.
Overall, 'How not to become a Surgeon' is a great read and every book lover must have a copy of it!
