Book review: 'Words Not Spoken' English translation of Pratima Dhar's anthology of Bengali poems

Pratima Dhar's anthology of Bengali poems 'Na Bola Kotha' has been translated to English by Amitava Chatterjee as 'Words Not Spoken'.

Poetry is the best medium to convey our unsaid and unspoken emotions, feelings and thoughts.

Some emotions must be cherished alone to get the original essence while some feelings demand to be shared with others.

Through several inspiring and beautiful short poems from various fields of life, poet Pratima Dhar is bound to captivate the readers' attention.

Pratima Dhar has a keen interest in literature and arts and that has been thoroughly reflected in all her poems.

Woman, nature, God, pain, quest and people are some of the areas covered by the poet and these areas have been used artistically in the poems of this collection.

The themes are so relatable and captivating that it will not take much time to complete reading the anthology but its beauty will remain deep inside the readers’ heart for a long time!

And in translation, 'Words not Spoken' retain the deep emotions and express in the Bengali original.
