Parampara founder Debabrata Sen engages students at Beltala Girls’ School in Kolkata
Kolkata : Parampara Ayurved founder Debabrata Sen conducted an interactive session at Beltala Girls’ School in Kolkata, aiming to introduce Ayurveda to younger audiences and connect it with modern lifestyle challenges.
The programme saw participation from nearly 100 students from Classes VIII to XI, along with teaching staff.
The initiative formed part of a broader effort to familiarise students with holistic wellness practices and highlight the relevance of traditional health systems in contemporary life.
Focus on modern lifestyle challenges
During the session, Debabrata Sen addressed issues commonly faced by students, including stress, irregular sleep patterns, unhealthy eating habits, excessive screen time and lack of physical balance.
He explained how Ayurvedic principles can help manage these concerns through preventive and lifestyle-based approaches.
The discussion centred on practical aspects of daily life, such as maintaining balanced routines, improving sleep cycles and making mindful dietary choices.
He also highlighted the importance of monitoring health indicators, including blood sugar levels, in the context of increasingly sedentary habits among young people.
Interactive approach engages students
The session began with a student-led welcome, followed by a direct interaction between Debabrata Sen and the audience.
He presented Ayurvedic concepts in a simplified format tailored to students, focusing on relatable examples rather than technical explanations.
A question-and-answer segment formed a key part of the programme, with students raising queries about anxiety, fatigue, concentration and overall health.
The interaction allowed participants to discuss personal concerns and gain clarity on lifestyle-related issues.
Encouraging continued engagement
As part of the outreach effort, Debabrata Sen shared his official email contact, inviting students to continue discussions on wellness beyond the session.
Teachers also participated by raising health-related questions, adding further depth to the engagement.
