This served as a podium for various manufacturing segments like large or MSMEs to discuss business related problems and how to use innovation for progress in the same field.
The two day conclave from Feb 17-18 consisted of panel discussions, research paper presentations by manufacturers and its trademark annual MSME Excellence Award programme that was on its ninth year where awards were given based on their innovative excellence to boost their confidence and progress.
BCC&I President Sutanu Ghosh said: “ Manufacturing sector depends on energy mainly,” to which Col Sabyasachi Bagchi, Chairman of WBSIDC Ltd added “Defence is one of the potential areas where all this innovation in manufacturing can take place."
According to the Chairman of TM International Logistics, Sandipan Chakravortty, the main focus should be on increasing incentives and be competitive not just nationally but globally and to show investors why is it better to invest here and not elsewhere or else people will move on.
