According to media reports, with a recent spike in COVID-19 cases, the state government has said that travellers booking into hotels in the City of Lakes have to submit their negative RT-PCR test report taken in the 72 hours prior to their time of arrival in Udaipur.

Visitors are being advised to check with the hotels before making a booking in case a negative test report is required to be submitted while making advance reservations.

The local administration has also said that tourist stakeholders, including hotels, tour operators and transport hub authorities (air, road and rail), must be vigilant about people arriving from Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Kerala, Punjab, and Haryana.

Visitors are also being urged to wear masks and maintain distancing norms, failing which they are likely to be penalised, media reports said.
