Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Travel Mart, a flagship event by Madhya Pradesh Tourism, will now be held annually from October 11 to 13, announced state Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Saturday.
Yadav made the announcement inaugurating Madhya Pradesh Travel Mart 2025 in Bhopal.
The CM was accompanied by Union Minister of Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat among other dignitaries at the inauguration ceremony held at Kushabhau Thakre International Convention Center (Minto Hall) in the city.
Speaking at the event, Yadav said, "We have decided to hold the Madhya Pradesh Travel Mart every year from October 11 to 13. It's a landmark decision which will benefit all stakeholders of this sector.
"Earlier, only Kerala and Rajasthan had fixed dates. Now, Madhya Pradesh too has a fixed date for the annual travel mart."
"Over 100 international specialties from 27 nations, over 150 domestic tour operators and more than 700 participants took part in the travel mart and made it historic. This proves that Madhya Pradesh tourism is now an international attraction," he added.
Yadav held an important meeting on Saturday at the Kushabhau Thakre Auditorium with investors in the tourism sector, leading film producers, and renowned actors on the occasion of the Madhya Pradesh Travel Mart.
The purpose of this one-on-one discussion was to strengthen the tourism infrastructure of the state and to promote Madhya Pradesh as a major film-shooting destination.
During this high-level meeting, Yadav held detailed discussions with several industry leaders regarding investment opportunities in the state.
He met well-known film producer Ekta Kapoor, and acclaimed actors Gajraj Rao and Raghuvir Yadav.
Representatives from the Spanish Film Commission — Lara Molina and film producer Anna Saura — also participated in the discussions.
Yadav assured all investors and industry representatives of the state government’s full cooperation and stated that the government is committed to making Madhya Pradesh the most attractive center in the country for tourism and film production.
