Jordan's tourism sector continues to operate normally despite recent regional developments, with airports across the country remaining open and commercial flights operating as scheduled, Jordan Tourism Board said.
According to the authorities, Queen Alia International Airport in Amman, along with the Kingdom's other airports, is fully operational and continues to handle scheduled commercial services. Tourist attractions, hotels, transport services, and visitor experiences across the country are also functioning without disruption.
The update comes as travellers continue to monitor the security situation in parts of the Middle East, with periodic airspace restrictions affecting some countries in the region. Jordan has, however, kept its airspace open and continues to receive international visitors.
Authorities monitoring regional developments
Jordanian authorities said they are closely monitoring the regional situation and remain in coordination with international aviation and security partners to maintain high standards of safety, security, and operational efficiency for travellers.
The country has long positioned itself as one of the region's more stable tourism destinations, attracting visitors to its archaeological sites, desert landscapes and religious heritage.

More flight options from October
In a boost for tourism, several low-cost airlines are expected to resume services to Jordan from October 2026. The move is set to improve air connectivity and give travellers more affordable flight options.
The resumption of low-cost operations is expected to make it easier for international visitors to access the country and could support tourism demand during the autumn and winter travel seasons.
Tourism sector prepared for visitors
The Tourism Board said hotels, tourism businesses, attractions, and transport providers across the country remain fully prepared to welcome visitors.
The country is home to some of the Middle East's best-known attractions, including the ancient city of Petra, the desert landscapes of Wadi Rum, the Dead Sea, the Roman ruins of Jerash, and the Red Sea resort of Aqaba. These destinations continue to receive visitors as normal.
Tourism is one of Jordan's key economic sectors, and the country has continued to focus on rebuilding visitor numbers and supporting sustainable growth in the industry following recent regional challenges.
Officials reiterated that Jordan remains open to international travellers and continues to promote its cultural, historical, and natural attractions while maintaining normal tourism operations across the Kingdom.
