Goa: Tourist arrested for placing bets

Panaji, Sept 30 (NITN) A Rajasthani tourist has been arrested for allegedly placing bets on the Champions League T 20 match between Rajasthan Royals and Perth Scorchers.
The police identified the accused as Lakhpatraj Jain.
A special team headed by Superintendent of Police (North Goa) Priyanka Kashyap caught him red handed while he was placing bets in a hotel room at Porvorim, on Sunday night.
The police have seized eight mobile phones, a laptop, six casino chips, Rs 40,000 cash, wallet containing cash and ID cards and other articles.
