HolidayIQ.com acquires travel mobile development team from SourceN
New Delhi, May 13, 2015: HolidayIQ.com, a travel community, on Wednesday announced the acquisition of the Travel Mobile Development Team from SourceN, a mobile development firm based out of Silicon Valley, USA & Bangalore, India to accelerate mobile offerings to the Indian traveller.

SourceN has been building and designing mobile applications for iOS, Android and Windows, following an agile and innovative approach to provide mobility solutions.

This acquisition cements HolidayIQ’s position as the leading travel portal striving to provide travellers a unique experience on-the-go.  With over 65% of user activity on HolidayIQ being via mobile devices, the shifting priorities of the consumer towards mobile internet are clearly reflected in the traffic received by HolidayIQ in the last six months.

Commenting on the acquisition, Hari Nair - Founder & CEO, HolidayIQ.com, said, “Mobile continues to be the core focus at HolidayIQ and this acquisition is a step in that direction. The SourceN team's in-depth understanding of mobile consumer behavior in travel will further strengthen our Holidays product and also create a more robust engine enabling easier and seamless sharing of travel reviews, ratings, images and video on mobile. HolidayIQ is India’s largest travel community and currently our app is the second highest rated and ranked in Play Store, second only to IRCTC.  We will continue to make investments in strengthening our mobile capabilities.”
