Goa gets first UK Dreamliner
Dabolim, Nov 8 (NITN): Goa received its first chartered Dreamliner from UK on Friday.

The passengers were greeted by the Deputy Director, Department of Tourism, Pamela Mascarenhas at the Dabolim airport. The Dreamliner which has a capacity of 291 passengers carried 266 tourists to Goa.

A traditional reception with a Goan brass band was organized by Goa Tourism to welcome the passengers. All the 266 tourists were greeted with roses by Goa Tourism as they walked into the airport.

 Mascarenhas said, “We warmly welcome the first Dreamliner to Goa and we are delighted to see the smiling guests. We will continue to welcome the guests in Goa and wish them a very pleasant and enjoyable stay here.”

Thomson Holidays organized the flight to Goa which carried 266 tourists directly from Gatwick Airport in UK.  
 
Le Passage to India is the local handling agency in Goa and expects at least 10,000 UK tourists to visit Goa by the end of April 2014.  
 
On an average and depending upon the packages, each arriving tourists will spend about 14 nights during their visit to Goa.

Tokyo: Airlines were forced to cancel over 300 flights following the collision between a Japan Coast Guard aircraft and a Japan Airlines passenger plane at Tokyo's Haneda Airport on Tuesday evening even as reports said the plane was cleared to land ahead of the tragedy.
