Tourism Australia partners with China
23 Sep 2015, 07:22 am
Sydney, Sept 22 (NITN): Tourism Australia’s select network of preferred travel distribution partners in China were profiled to 17 media in Chengdu last week in a bid to improve awareness amongst Chinese consumers of the best agencies to contact when they want to book a great Australian holiday.
The media event was held at the opening of the Australia Cup Golf Competition at Sichuan Chengdu Grand Hill Golf Club, co-hosted by Tourism Australia and Sichuan CYTS Shuncheng Branch, one of Tourism Australia’s ‘key distribution partners’ (KDP) in Chengdu.
Attended by TV, radio, print media and online journalists from Chengdu and Chongqing, this was the first of four events to extend awareness of the program with others to follow in Shanghai, Beijing, and Guangzhou.
Tourism Australia works with 31 key distribution partners in China, an elite network of specialist travel companies with staff that are highly motivated and professionally trained to sell high quality Australian holiday packages to the country's rapidly growing number of travellers.
Tourism Australia KDP criteria is aimed at encouraging travel companies to develop innovative itineraries and programs, designed to meet the needs of Australia’s target market in China.
Tourism Australia is currently recruiting four more new KDP travel companies across China in order to further expand and strengthen cooperation with Chinese outbound travel companies.
