Nemesis
When suddenly the question of survival of the fittest comes into consideration, chaos, pain, shock and uncertainties are bound to seep in.
The world comes to a standstill at this point and even though people try to find ways to come out of the harsh situation, they fail to stop it and the worst things befall them.
Anand Vardhan’s Nemesis is perhaps the most relatable story for everyone at the moment due to the spread of the deadly coronavirus.
No one expected such a situation ever in their lives even in their worst nightmares but now, we are bound to accept whatever comes on our way and try to survive in this uncertain world.
When the global power struggle comes into the scene, anything can be done by the power holder to become more powerful and to make the entire world come to a standstill.
It is indeed a horrific experience to witness and hear about the unusual number of deaths per day due to COVID and it is mentally tormenting to survive amidst such a situation also.
The virus which emerged and scattered to the entire world allegedly from Wuhan in China has created havoc in everyone’s life and not only life, but it has also affected every aspect of life – economic, mental and physical.
Nemesis centres around the character called David Lake, who is an engineer but soon he performs a completely different task of altering the relationship of the two most powerful and influential countries in the world.
The story has included the facts about the emergence and spread of coronavirus, how it was hidden from the entire world at the beginning and how David suspected a danger when he saw the increase in the sale of ventilators in China.
Though others seem to ignore this major incident, David never stops his investigation and after his father’s sudden demise due to this virus, he helps in every possible way to save the lives of people.
The novel explores the way in which David acts as a saviour, how he takes all the steps to defeat China, and how he stops the trade relationship between these two powerful countries.
The story of David’s journey is thoroughly motivating, and it is bound to create a huge impact in the readers’ minds!
Anand Vardhan will surely impress his readers with the lucid style and the free flow of words to describe such an essential and serious incident.
Amidst this pandemic situation, the novel will act as a breath of fresh air for everyone and in future also, this novel shall be an important source of information about the COVID pandemic.
