Led by acclaimed danseuse Urmila Bhowmick, her disciples presented a dance drama of Rabindranath Tagore, directed by Dipwanita Roy.
This was followed by a dance drama Swaranagato, featuring Radha, Meera, Mahari and Bishnupria, depicting the followers of Lord Krishna in various forms.
Urmila Bhowmick is one of the foremost practitioners of Odissi style of dance and her disciples presented a scintillating and colourful dance drama to packed and appreciative audience.
A unique feature of Urmila and her band of disciples is that they beautifully blend Odissi and Bharatnatyam styles of dance presentations and this was reflected in Swaranagato.
