The main aim of this campaign was to reach out to as many underprivileged families possible and provide them with a proper and healthy square meal.
In India there are various less fortunate families who don’t get the privilege of having proper meal. 92.7 BG FM took upon itself to bridge this gap by providing food to the needy this New Year with their initiative ‘DilDariya’.
The radio station urged its listeners to contribute their bit and be a part of the initiative by donating fresh food. It invited participation from the young and old alike and provided free, fresh and healthy food to the families. 92.7 BIG FM in association withRobinhood Armyconcluded the campaign with an on-ground food distribution activity in North Kolkata’s Ultadanga slums, Canal east road area and in South Kolkata’s Sealdah , Wellington, Nonapukur slum area.
Through this campaign the radio station managed to reach out to and feed around 2500 underprivilegedlocals.
Present on the occasion, RJ Koushik said, “It is my immense pleasure to be present here today. We often forget how lucky we are to have three times meal each day. I think 92.7 BIG FM and Robinhood Army have taken a brilliant step to come forward and help these underprivileged families. We at 92.7 BIG FM look forward to take up more such initiatives and contribute towards the well-being of our society.”
