In Chicago's downtown Theater District if you are looking for a hotel which does not burn a hole in your pocket, but ensures affordable comfort, spacious rooms and a location that is walking distance to the top attractions of the windy city, this is the hotel you can check in.
Cambria Chicago does not boast of an imposing driveway, a foryar or a swanky reception (in fact the reception is on 8th floor), but here you can relax in their sophisticated guest rooms.
Rooms
The twin bed room I stayed in was very tastefully designed featuring contemporary furniture. The walls were of vibrant hues, and artistic accents. The hotel room offered nice bath products, a dedicated workspace with an efficient desk, flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi. This two double bed suite was comfortable to say the least.
Eats
The place to head in the hotel for food is Intermission Bar and Kitchen on the 9th floor which serves American dishes with drinks. The menu serves modern American classics, accompanied by a selection of craft beers sourced from esteemed Midwestern Breweries such as Pipeworks Brewing, Revolution Brewery, and Half Acre Beer Co.
Fitness
Though the hotel does not have a swimming pool, it has a fitness centre which is state-of-the-art. It has all the modern equipment and machines.
Location
Location is the king. This hotel has the best location in the Theatre District. From shopping at State Street to some of Chicago's iconic tourist spots, you are close to all.
By night you can experience the city's theatre scene too here.
