Skyview by Empyrean is keen to revive pandemic hit tourism in Patnitop in Jammu & Kashmir Patnitop, J&K

Jammu/NITN:  If you are looking to enjoy the beauty of the Himalayan ranges and have some outdoor fun, why not head to Skyview by Empyrean at Sanget-Patnitop in Jammu, UT J&K?

Spread over 22 acres in the panoramic Sanget valley and Patnitop in Udhampur, it is a 90-minute drive from the Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine in Katra.

Skyview by Empyrean began operations here with the start of the ropeway, two years ago.

The Skyview Gondola at Patnitop, according to the company, is India’s highest [in terms of ground clearance] international class ropeway.

Also called the Patnitop Gondola, it encompassed responsible tourism and green mobility by eliminating a 45-60 minute road journey to Patnitop from the Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Tunnel (formerly the Chenani-Nashri Tunnel), the company said.

Now you can take a picturesque gondola ride of over 2.8kms of inclined destination, which can be completed in 10-12 minutes.

The Skyview Terrace is a recreational area located adjacent to the Skyview Gondola’s upper terminal at 2,024 metres.

Food and beverage is available at the Skyview Café and other outlets.

Visitors can have an immersive experience of local art and culture at the Amphitheatre and also shop for the finest honey, handicraft items, condiments, spices and dry fruits from J&K at the Hands of Gold retail outlet.

If you are looking for some outdoor adventure, there is the magic carpet, an all season dry tubing sledge, and Asia’s longest zigzag zipline at 580 metres as well as curated biking excursions, hiking and supervised treks.

The company said that during the first lockdown due to the pandemic, the site was comprehensively audited for COVVID-19 preparedness by SGS - a leading global inspection, verification, testing and certification company.

The management said the place has been following all COVID-19-ready compliance protocols, including online bookings, thermal screening, social distancing, sanitization routines and digital menus, etc.

Those who want to spend a night or two at picturesque Patnitop, Skyview by Empyrean has entered into partnerships with select hotels; these hotels can be booked on the company’s website or its sales office.

Syed Junaid Altaf, Managing Director, Empyrean Skyview Projects Private Limited said, “In the two years that we started our ropeway operations, our brand has undergone an evolution. We at ESPPL have created a unique and holistic adventure and lifestyle destination with world-class infrastructure adhering to global standards of safety and service, offering a plethora of thrilling and exciting experiences, all available in one destination.”

Skyview by Empyrean (formerly Skyview Patnitop by Empyrean) is part of Empyrean Skyview Projects Pvt. Ltd (ESPPL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of FIL Industries Private Limited.
