Pickle N Amma
Kolkata: Her pickle-making skills, honed over the past 30 years, would have remained a secret among her family and friends’ circle, if Rekha Lakhotia had not decided to market them commercially.
In collaboration with Sonali Lakhotia, she has launched Pickle N Amma, a brand which makes a range of pickles, based on her recipes.
Two of the signature products include Meetha Aam and Mango+Garlic, both made with mangoes grown in her own farm.

An active member of several organizations like Inner Wheel, ABMMS and local NGOs, she is keen to promote women empowerment among the less fortunate section of society with her business venture.

“This self-help venture has paved the way for economic independence of the women of the town and hopefully in the near future our employee strength will increase further from eight just now, said Rekha Lakhotia.
The brand is also planning to launch their own range of snack, spice mixes, chutneys, and spreads very soon.
