                Cathay Pacific Airways launches new freighter service between Kolkata-Hong Kong

							                Kolkata, Mar 11 (NITN): Cathay Pacific Airways launched a new twice-weekly freighter service between Hong Kong and Kolkata on Wednesday, with a ceremony at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport tonight to mark the inauguration of the new route.
 
             
	Cathay Pacific will be the only airline offering a scheduled non-stop freighter services between Kolkata and Hong Kong. The service will be operated by a Boeing B747-400F aircraft.
	
Kolkata is the sixth freighter destination in India along with Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad.

	Cathay Pacific Cargo freighters currently serve 44 destinations through the new Cathay Pacific Cargo Terminal in Hong Kong. Cathay Pacific Cargo also utilises cargo space on 118 passenger aircraft that offer convenient connections to more than 202 destinations in 51 countries in Asia, North America and Australia through its hub in Hong Kong.

This latest addition to our freighter network will strengthen ties between Kolkata and Hong Kong and help to reinforce Hong Kong’s position as a leading aviation hub.”
	
With the addition of Kolkata, the Cathay Pacific Group now has 25 freighter departures each week from India.
